Gayle is a 5th Generation Californian who began playing guitar and writing music at 17. Gayle was the lead singer of an All girl Thrash Metal band in the 90's called GIRL JESUS. They played up and down the California Coast from San Diego to San Francisco. Her next project landed her in a popular LA Blues /RnB band Cherry and The Bull Dogs. From there she met Don Cook and the two created Gypsy Stew. That led them both back to Ohio where Don Cook is originally from. After a good decade of touring from California to Texas, New Orleans, Florida and Ohio the two split. Gayle has fallen in love with Ohio and is currently working on another band project with Brandon Miller on percussion and tech, Max Butler on Bass. They will be ready to showcase Roughneck Hippies summer 2024. You can find Gypsy Gayle in the meantime playing her Solo shows that include all of her original songs and cover songs like: When Doves Cry by Prince. Nirvana Polly. Madonna Borderline. Bob Segar Turn the page. Revivalists Soul fight. Stick Figure Angels Above and much much more! Her line up ranges from old classics to current top of the chart hits! Her vocal style is a unique and powerful nature that embraces the crowd, and keeps them there at your establishment! Her guitar playing style is rough, raw, and grungy with a twist of hippie fun love thrown in. With a tap and a bang she seems to conjure up percussion out of her acoustic guitar while strumming along. Gayle has the most extraordinarily peculiar drum set she conjured up herself that appeases everyone she plays for. If you want a one of a kind show for your next gala Gayle is your woman!
